Trevor Smith Steps Up in Australia
Willowbank Raceway, Queensland, Australia. 7 & 10 June, 2018
Trevor Smith ticked an item of his bucket list by attending the 2018 IHRA Winternationals at Willowbank Raceway, Queensland, Australia. Trevor had upgraded his 75 Statesman with the addition of a Brad Anderson Hemi, a Quick Drive torque converter, new Weld wheels and a new data logger. He was attempting to qualify in the Pro Slammer field at the Gulf Western Oil 51st Winternationals, a part of the 400 Thunder series in Australia. With great assistance from Team Bray Racing, Trevor was hoping to get the car car dialed in for some great performances.

Teething bugs at the Winters Warm Up the week before had prevented the car from getting down the track earlier. More issues at the Winternationals were overcome and resulted in a PB ET of 6.232 at 218.19. Trevor didn't make the field, but was happy to be part of the biggest event outside the USA.
After two rained out testing days, Friday June 29th saw two new PBs of 6.132 and 230.53 mph during more testing at Willowbank.
With more meetings to come in Australia, Trevor is hoping to improve upon his two new PBs once again.
