Jim Carroll: 1968 Camaro
Jim started racing street cars at Meremere in the 1990's. He then progressed to a 6 second alcohol dragster, with a 560 ci Chevrolet and an 8/71 supercharger in the 2000's. He won the Summer Nationals at Taupo in 2009, in the dragster, and also won the Top Dragracer prize the same year. He then raced an 8 second 68 Camaro in Super Sedan for 8 years, with his biggest win being Super Sedan at the 2018 IHRA NZ Nationals.
Jim started racing his current 68 Camaro in Top Doorslammer in the 23/24 season. He won the IHRA Doorslammer series in his debut season.
