Wild Bunch NZ announces new sponsor for 2019/20 season

16 July, 2019

Wild Bunch NZ in association with Kumeu Classic Car and Hot Rod Festival is proud to announce the official return of the breed, with a 16 car show set to entertain and light up the Masterton Motorplex on January 4/5 as part of the annual Dragstalgia event.

After the wildly successful return of the Wild Bunch earlier this year, the class has seen unprecedented growth and interest with well over 25 cars either committing to or expressing interest in competing at future events.

The invited field will consist of new cars set to debut to some of the classes originals. The diversity and unpredictabilty of the original class remains, upgraded and improved to create a show not previously seen. From wild smokey burnouts to insane edge of your seat passes, the Wild Bunch is just that, so mark the date on your calendar because you won't want to miss it.

Wild Bunch Wars is set down as a 2 day event with day one consisting of a heads up "teams race" and day two the main individual battle. With 19 cars pre-entered already, the teams race will also double as qualifying for the 16 car show on Sunday, and with a prize pool of over $4k , the action will be fast, exciting and down right brutal. More details of the event will be released on the Wildbunch NZ facebook page so keep an eye out for exciting announcements, competitions and driver profiles as we close in on raceday.

An event of this nature doesn't just happen without support, so it's with great pleasure we would like to announce that Ken and Desma Galvin from Kumeu Classic Car and Hot Rod Festival have come on board as our naming rights sponsor for the event, and without their involvement and that of all our associate sponsors we wouldn't be able to bring you the spectacle that will be "WILD BUNCH WARS".

The facebook page Wild Bunch New Zealand is where you will find all our sponsor announcements, event details, photographic history and very soon a bunch of unique mechandise for sale. It is also where u will soon find details of a second event later in the year, so check back often and share it around.
