Josh Trybula top qualified for the Kumeu Classic Car and Hot Rod Festival Wild Bunch Wars with a 0.077 reaction time on a 7.712 at 170.37 pass in his 1933 Willys. Mark Gapp qualified fifth with a 0.218 reaction time while recording the second quickest qualifying time, a 7.691 at 176.52 in his Pro Parts 1941 Willys. Quickest qualifier was Dean Scott with a 7.162 at 196.20 in his 1998 Chevrolet Truck.

Michael Franklin in his 1966 Pontiac GTO made it through to the final to face Mark Gapp, but a broken cam and engine block forced him out, leaving Mark to take the win on a solo pass. He did it in style, recording his quickest pass of the meeting with a 7.538 at 177.34.
