Kevin was exposed to racing V8s from childhood with his father racing powerboats at the top level. His first drag car was a 327 powered Commodore street car at the age of 18. That was followed by a race only C/SM Torana and then a Super Stock Camaro. The current Pontiac is a natural progression in this series of cars. Kevin has won the NZDRA Nationals once, winning the Super Street bracket in 2000. He still holds national records in F/TS, E/TS and B/TS.
