Talk about bringing the proverbial knife to a gunfight, well that's how it feels taking a look at the entry list and seeing the best part of 20 blown alcohol sedans entered for Wild Bunch Wars, and but one lone Naturally Aspirated entry being Ryan.. But hey, he wouldn't have it any other way, and knowing full well the blanks some of these concrete mixer boys will no doubt fire, plans are afoot to take said knife and slice his way through the field come race day, and just maybe hurt a few feelings along the way.

The knife of choice in this instance is a 1958 Plymouth Fury, made famous or infamous in Stephen King's movie Christine. The classic lines and fins of 50's era classics had always been a favourite, as has the philosophy of doing or having something different than the belly button racecars mass produced around the globe. He could have painted it red with "Christine" down the side but that's been done, and to be honest then he wouldn't have been able to showcase the skills of an insanely talented mate and artist in Kurt Goodin. The Joker was the name of his previous car, (actually the same championship winnning Camaro just rebodied) so it was no surprise when Joker 2.0 debuted at the start of last year before basically stinking up the joint for the best part of the season. Electrical gremlins plagued him all year until engine failure finally ended the season early without improving on the previous seasons bests in the 7.80 range. The 600 cube all aluminium N/A BBC is now all fresh, as is every other mechanical component on the car, ready to hit the ground running by the time you read this. Thanks to Michael Franklin, she also has a nice new pair of rear shoes - we guess he got sick of looking at Ryan's old ones from his position behind him on track.

KG Artworks, Century Batteries, WellTec, Linkup Paints and The Krysler Shop once again have offered support and assistance, which along with Paul Lambarth. A family based crew plus adopted extras Mike, Nigel, Jodz, Nakita and John, make Ryan's job the easy one, although with the added responsibility of coordinating Wild Bunch Wars, he is going to need each and every one of them. He may not have the fastest car, but with a bunch of free Joker themed giveaways for the kids, a huge following and a little luck on raceday, he's got just as good a chance as any and we cant wait!
